Man bellyflops into 12in of water from a world record 35ft

Professional shallow-diver Darren Taylor, aka Professor Splash, bellyflopped into just 12in of water from a world record 35ft - but he aims to go even higher later this month.



His death-defying plunge from 40ft will be screened live on US TV and Darren, who hails from Denver, Colorado, admits: "It will be the biggest dive of my life by far."



The key to avoiding injury, or worse, he says, is to spread your body weight as wide as possible.
