Meet Scruffy the robin

Scruffy the robin is looking slightly worse for wear – but he's ever so happy.

Scruffy is thought to have lost his feathers in an attack by a sparrow hawk.



Despite looking wounded, the sprightly bird has managed to retain the love of his pretty mate.

"His mate clearly still loves him. They have had two broods this year. We have seen them perched together in the garden" said David Baggaley, of Oxford Lane, Siddal, Halifax, who took the photo.
