Pensioner banned from touching people

A 77-year-old man has been banned from touching people for five years.

James Field was given the ruling as part of an Anti-Social Behaviour Order (Asbo), after admitting that he touched a teenage girl on the leg while sitting next to her on a bus.

He had previously been convicted for hugging a middle-aged woman in the street and trying to kiss her in May 2006.

In a hearing at Hertford magistrates court, Mr Field, of Cheshunt, Herts, pleaded guilty to sexual assault. He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register and was given an 18-month community order.
