Tourists wearing Speedos in town offend an island's police commissioner so much he is threatening to put them in jail.
The Caribbean island of Grenada is enforcing an indecent exposure law banning swimsuits away from the beach.
Police commissioner James Clarkson said offenders are generally just asked to put some clothes on but they can be fined $US270 or sent to jail for six months.
Mr Clarkson said cruise ships usually inform passengers of the correct way to dress when in town, but "from time to time, there is the one or two who take their chances."
Mr Clarkson has also taken aim at people who wear baggy pants that expose their underwear, part of a campaign aimed at"bringing back morality into the country".
He said some young men seem to forget where their waist is located. "Any time you allow lawlessness to start taking effect on your country, you have a problem," he said.
