Young meerkats take a peep at their new world

The first meerkats to be born for nine years at Taronga Zoo, Sydney, have been introduced to the Australian public.



The sex of the four-week-old pups, Zanzibar and Nairobi, will be established at eight weeks when they have their first vaccinations and a veterinary examination, but their keepers suspect that one is male and the other female.
