A babysitter flashed her breasts at a 10-year-old boy she was looking after and asked him for sex. Dawn Stagg, 39, herself a mother of four, sat down next to the shocked boy and made a number of lewd remarks, a court heard.
Then as the boy tried to get away, Stagg lifted her top up and pushed him into the kitchen wall before grabbing his private parts.
The lad managed to escape before finding his mum at a house nearby and telling her what happened.
Police who later arrested Stagg discovered she had been on a drinking session in the run up to the incident. Stagg, of Lord Street, Barrow, admitted sexual assault on a child under 16 when she appeared at Burnley Crown Court yesterday.
Stagg was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, and was ordered to be supervised for 12 months.
She was also ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ register for seven years and was banned from working with children for life. She was told to make no contact with any children, other than family, under the age of 17.
