Hedgehog loses its prickles

Spud the hedgehog was taken to St Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Aylesbury, Bucks, last summer suffering from a major skin problem. It caused his skin to dry and his spines to fall out.

Staff are baffled about his condition as all results from biopsies so far have come back clear.



Everyday he has a warm bath and a massage with baby oil and other than the obvious problems he acts like a normal hedgehog.

The hospital is currently seeking some ideas of alternative medicines that can try to clear up his condition.
