Man arrested for exposing himself every Wednesday

An Arbuckle man is behind bars after allegedly exposing and fondling himself in public every Wednesday for at least the last several weeks, authorities said.

Andrew Thomas Sweet, 31, was arrested today by Colusa County sheriff's deputies just after 12 p.m. on suspicion of four counts of misdemeanor public exposure. He was booked into Colusa County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.

Lt. Shane Maxey said deputies had received numerous recent complaints from Sweet's neighbours in the 400 block of First Street.



Residents said Sweet would stand at a window inside his house and expose and fondle himself on Wednesdays, Maxey said.

Authorities are not yet sure why the alleged exposure occurred only on Wednesdays.

"(Sweet) has elected not to answer any questions so far," Maxey said.
