A city stockbroker had his Bentley driven into a river by staff at a car workshop yesterday.
The £100,000 Continental GT skidded across a roundabout, smashed through a metal post and careered down a bank into the water.
The flash motor had just been delivered to car graphics firm Totally Dynamic for a bodywork job.
But when a staff member went to move the silver Bentley it appears there was a brake fault.
The car ended up five-feet under in the River Lee, at Enfield, North London. The driver escaped unhurt. Fire crews were unable to retrieve the two-ton motor.
It is expected to be an insurance write-off. Boss Scott Coleman said: “Something was wrong with the brakes. The owner knows about it.”
