A driver has been charged with animal cruelty after leaving a live deer on the back seat of his tiny Fiat 126 car while he went to work.
Dariusz Kaminski, 25, told police he'd picked up the deer from a grass verge on his way to work and thought it had been killed crossing the road in Lublin, eastern Poland.
But the deer was just stunned and came to in the parked car where passers-by spotted it after it stood on the car horn.
The driver is now facing five years in prison for the illegal possession of a wild animal. The deer has been taken to a sanctuary.
