Grampian Police are investigating after a member of the public dropped his trousers during a live BBC Reporting Scotland broadcast.
The incident took place in the St Nicholas Graveyard at about 1830 GMT on Wednesday, shortly after the North Sea helicopter crash memorial service.
The man can be seen in the background as presenter Sally Magnusson reported on the service.
Appealing for witnesses to come forward, Det Con Stephanie Jones said: "I am really disappointed that someone would carry out such a mindless act especially in light of the remembrance service which had just taken place within St Nicholas Church.
"This was a particularly distasteful incident which showed a total lack of respect."
The male responsible is described as being aged in his late teens, with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing a two tone top with dark coloured loose fitting trousers.
