Car theft victim confronts man wearing his clothes

When a Jacksonville, Florida man saw a suspect wearing his shoes, shorts and hat, he knew that was the person who stole his car. The victim only wants to be known as Mustafa because he is concerned for his safety.

Mustafa's 2000 Crown Victoria was stolen earlier this week right out of the Shands Hospital parking lot. When the car was recovered a few days later, everything had been stolen out of it, including electronics and all the laundry Mustafa had inside.

Then on Friday when he saw the man wearing his clothes on 15th street, he called police but didn't wait. He left his girlfriend and two kids in the car and Mustafa asked the man where he got the outfit.

When the man took off running Mustafa chased him, but he then realized a man with a gun was also chasing him.

"After he hit me across the face with the gun, I said what you going to do, shoot me in front of all these people? He said no, I'm going to shoot your old lady, so he went over and started pointing the gun at her."

Then a few minutes later the gunman turned and shot Mustafa in the rear end. He is now still recovering from his injury. He lost most of his wardrobe and his car was damaged, but his family including his two small kids escaped a close call.
