Driver caught eating cereal

A 48-year-old Needham man was pulled over and given a ticket for driving violations he committed while eating a bowl of cereal, police said.

Police said they received 911 calls from many witnesses who said a man was driving erratically near Nehoiden Street.

Police said they observed the car passing vehicles in a no passing zone and tailgating.

When police stopped the gray Oldsmobile, they said the man got out of the car and was told to return to his vehicle.

Inside of the car police found a cold bowl of milk with cereal. The man told police he was hungry and was eating the cereal.

The man also had an expired licence, according to police. The driver was given a ticket for unlicensed operation, failure to stay in marked lanes and operating to endanger negligent operation.
