Leprechaun busker unmasked as convicted child molester

A convicted paedophile is busking for children in a town centre wearing a leprechaun costume.

Gerald Game, 50, once jailed for 21 months for indecently assaulting a 13-year-old girl, now calls himself 'Gerry the flute' and plays music in the heart of upmarket Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

He plays a medieval lute and a recorder while perching on a giant toadstool in the Promenade, wearing curly-toed shoes, outsized pixie ears and a jaunty red crown.

A sign beside him claims that he has an Equity card and suggests that he is available for parties - though Game denies this.

The cardboard sign describes him as a 'trainee leprechaun, out on work experience' and adds: 'I hope I'll get a good report.'

Cheltenham Borough Council says buskers do not need a licence to play in the town. A spokesman declined to comment further.
