A customer had to be rushed to hospital after an agonising blunder with acid at an opticians.
An assistant asked Sarah Taylor to put her contact lenses in the solution while her eyes were tested.
Sarah, 36, of Milton Keynes, Bucks, was not told the acid was supposed to be neutralised before she put them back in.
She said: "The pain went searing through my eyeball." A doctor washed out her eyes. "The doctor said I was lucky the damage wasn't worse," she said. Specsavers in Milton Keynes apologised and offered her free glasses.
