Go-kart stunt probed by police

A video of a stunt showing a go-kart with no rear wheels being dragged behind a car at 40mph has been posted on the intertubes.

A 22-year-old man believed to be from Bridgnorth has posted the video, which appears to show sparks flying up from the back of the go-kart as it was driven over the surface. Police said the stunt was “incredibly dangerous” and a risk to the lives of road users. (With longer video.)

The video shows the go-kart driver shaking his fist at the camera as he sets off and later laughing as the go-kart becomes difficult to control.

Sergeant Jeff Morris of the Road Policing Support Team said: “This behaviour is clearly incredibly dangerous and risks the life of both those involved and other road users. Anybody who knows the identity of either the car driver or the person on the go-kart is asked to contact police.”
