Peek-a-boo gunman caught on tape robbing store

The Broward Sheriff's Office is asking for help from the public in identifying a clothing store robber who tried to use his hands to conceal his face and ended up looking like he was playing peek-a-boo.

On Monday, September 14th at 8:02 p.m., a masked man wearing all black and carrying a handgun entered the Citi Trends clothing store at 3420 N. Andrews Avenue in Oakland Park and asked for all the cash out of the register.

Surveillance cameras inside the store were rolling when the masked gunman entered the store. After the frightened clerk told him she didn't know how to run the register, he got a manager and escorted both women to the register while pointing a chrome semi-automatic handgun at them both.

For some reason, he ended up taking his mask off and used his hands to conceal his face. Once the manager took all the money from the register and handed it to the robber, he immediately left the store.
