13-year-old boy and 14-year-old girl to become parents

A boy of 13 is to become a dad after getting his 14-year-old girlfriend pregnant. The teenagers cannot be named after the local council in Poole, Dorset, obtained a court order banning the publication of their identities.

The youngsters both attend the same school. The girl is in the year above. Poole Council refused to comment on the case.



The seaside town is no stranger to controversy. In 1997 Jenny Teague from Poole became the country's youngest mother when she gave birth aged 12 to daughter Sasha.

Britain's youngest father is Sean Stewart, from Sharnbrook, Beds, who became a dad at 12 when neighbour Emma Webster, 15, gave birth in 1998.
