A man who said he grows medical marijuana was arrested after standing on Highway 34 naked.
Witnesses told police Dustin Robbins, 27, was swerving into oncoming traffic and swerving back into his lane on U.S. 34 near Greeley on September 25, when he suddenly stopped and got out of his vehicle.
A police report said Robbins pulled off his pants and stood naked in the middle of the highway, cursing at passing cars and hitting some of them with his fists, according to the Greeley Tribune. The newspaper reported that two Greeley women in their 70s and 80s later told deputies that a naked man ran at their car, jumped on the hood and broke the windows with his fists and feet, then walked over the roof, down over the trunk and ran away. Damage to the car was estimated at $1,200.
Robbins may face charges of indecent exposure, assault on a police officer, driving while under the influence of marijuana, two counts of harassment and reckless driving.
The assault charge came because Robbins allegedly spit in a Colorado State Trooper's face.
Robbins told sheriff's deputies he grows medical marijuana and sells it to people who have prescriptions for the drug. The newspaper reported that deputies who searched Robbins' car found 4 ounces of marijuana and a notebook containing certificates for medicinal marijuana.
