Poor the matted dog

You can't even tell that this is a dog because it's so matted.

A full 9 pounds of hair were shaved off the Shih Tzu.



Police Chief Jim Smith said that he met with adult protective services in conjunction with the dog's owners.

Deb Coleman with the Upper Valley Humane Society said that 30 years of animal rescue, she has never seen a case of matting worse than this.
