Crane removing oak tree crashes through Californian couple's house

A Californian couple must have got the shock of their life when they returned home to find a crane lying right through the middle of their house.



The catastrophe happened when a 90ft crane that had been removing the 150-year-old tree toppled backwards into Michelle and Kevin McCarthy's home in Santa Rosa, California, splitting the house in half.



No one was in the house or injured when the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. A dog in the garage was also unharmed, according to the Santa Rosa Fire Department.
