Lawmakers in Argentina throw chairs at each other

At least 10 people have been injured after legislators in Chaco, Argentina began punching and throwing chairs at each other during a provincial parliamentary election.



The violence broke out when officials from the governing party tried to stop the opposition from entering a session after electing the new president of the northern province's lower house. Images of the legislators throwing plastic chairs and seats before being stopped by local police and security were shown on local television.
