A question about the commenting system

I've just been advised that Haloscan, the free commenting system used here is to stop working next week.

I have a choice of upgrading at a cost of $9.95 per annum, thus retaining the 30,000+ comments here, or I can revert to the Blogger commenting system, which will mean all previous comments will be deleted.

Apparently I can also migrate to Disqus and retain all the comments, but I have to say this looks complicated.

I don't mind paying, it's a matter of principle.

So, any ideas/suggestions on what I should do?

No decision will be made until Monday.
