Vinegar 'cures church organist of crippling arthritis pain'

A church organist who was forced to give up music because of her crippling arthritis is playing to congregations again after she was cured by drinking cups of vinegar four times a day, she claims.

Sarah Gall, 55, had been left virtually housebound after the condition spread to her spine and left her in constant agony.

When the powerful painkillers she was prescribed by doctors failed to bring her any relief she turned to daily doses of cider vinegar mixed with honey and hot water over a four-year period after reading its natural properties might help her regain movement.

She combined taking the vinegar concoction with exercise, Epsom Salt baths and a healthy diet before her arthritis completely disappeared.

Now Mrs Gall, a mother of four, is back playing the organ during Sunday services at St Stephen and All Martyr's Church in Darcy Lever, near Bolton, Greater Manchester.

Dr Binoj Nair, of the samedaydoctor clinic in Manchester, said: ''If it works for you then great, as long as it's not doing any harm or interacting with medication. It won't work for most people. The important thing is to see your doctor.''
