Angry Australian skinny dipper forced to pay damages after cafe rampage

A skinny dipper has reportedly been forced to pay $1500 in damages after he went on a nude rampage and broke several windows of a St Kilda cafe just after Christmas.

CCTV cameras at the West Beach Bathers' Pavilion on Beaconsfield Parade captured the Perth man, who appears to be in his 20s, as he kicked the windows causing several to shatter just before 1.30am on December 29.

The cafe's owner, Ivor van der Sluys, said while police tracked the man down he decided not to press charges, laughing the incident off as being the actions of an "angry skinny dipper".

"We are right on the beach so I assume he's been skinny dipping in the bay, then had a bit of a blue with his girlfriend and come up and took it out on our building," Mr van der Sluys said.
