A Darwin court has released horrific footage of a woman throwing her baby onto the footpath.
The CCTV footage from the Palmerston bus exchange shows a woman throwing her 10-month-old baby on the ground after her partner caught a bus without her.
Magistrate John Lowndes lifted a suppression order on the footage yesterday.
Contains graphic content.
The video was played in open court last week, but after media requests for the video's release were approved, the woman's lawyer Josh Brock applied for his client's name to be suppressed.
Magistrate John Lowndes agreed, and also suppressed the footage and any personal circumstances of the defendant or the victim. He heard submissions and gave reasons for his orders in a closed court.
The woman has pleaded not guilty to recklessly endangering serious harm to the baby. The hearing will continue in June.
