The shop's owner, John McMullan, known as Mac, said: "We don't get many French men in Pennywell, but we still manage to sell a few of these. I've tried them and they're a bit like chicken, but they've got a sharper taste.
Angela Ramsay, 39, of Hendon, who works in Katie Mac's chip shop, said: "We sell loads of them. I cook them, but I've never eaten them. I couldn't believe it when I saw them, like a proper little pair of legs."
