An Ohio couple said photographs of elaborate urine trails left by their dog rescued from a shelter will be shown at an art show benefiting canine charities.
Jim Lasher and Kara Vlach-Lasher said their German shepherd, Tucker, suffers from a canine disease similar to multiple sclerosis and is unable to raise his leg during urination, causing him to create patterns on the sidewalk that the owners describe as "stream of consciousness" art.
Vlach-Lasher, speaking for Tucker, described the works as "expressionistic, for sure." "It's coming out of an absolutely emotional experience," she said. The show, "PEE-ces of Art, by Tucker," is scheduled for March 7 at Bela Dubby in Lakewood, Ohio. Proceeds from the show will benefit the Cleveland Animal Protective League and the Sanctuary for Senior Dogs.
