Airport body scan worker quizzed by police for ogling colleague's breasts

A Heathrow airport security man was quizzed by police after ogling a girl colleague "naked" in a new anti-terror body scanner. Jo Margetson, 29, reported John Laker, 25, after he took her picture with the X-ray gadget and made a lewd comment.

The guard leered and told her: "I love those gigantic t**s." She had entered the X-ray machine by mistake - and was horrified when Laker pressed a button to take a revealing photo.

Laker, who faces the sack, was the first airport worker to be caught abusing the controversial new devices. After Laker sneaked a look at her body and made the remark, horrified Jo told her bosses and police at the West London airport.

Both work for airport operator BAA. Last night Jo said: "I can't bear to think about the body scanner thing. I'm totally traumatised. I've spoken to the police about it. I'm in too much of a state to go to work." Laker was questioned by police and on Monday was given a formal warning for harassment, which is one level below a caution.

With more photos.

I knew it was just a matter of time before someone misused these things.

It was just a matter of time before someone saw the lawsuit applications of these things...

Laker pressed a button to take a revealing photo.

Hang on, when these machines were introduced, weren't we promised that they didn't have such a capability?

If so, there's no evidence in which case the guy simply needs to deny the allegation.  If there is evidence in the form of a photo, then BAA (who runs the airport and installed the scanners) needs to be answering some awkward questions after lying to us about those machines' capabilities.

We've been assured time and again that it can only take a photo if it's in "test mode" and that during normal operation, you can't save the image.
Seems to smell a bit, since if someone really was carrying a bomb, you'd want a record of its detection.

So- every official who wants to take a pic, he or she just switches to test-mode and hey presto!

...What is "test-mode"on such a machine...? I mean- I never found a "test-mode" on my camera's...

Wow, it didn't take long for this to happen... and I'm sure this isn't the last time we'll hear of these machines being abused.

"a girl colleague"

I guess the first line should read "Heathrow aorport security boy" then...

That didn't take long.

(Is it common practice to refer to the man by his last name and the woman by her first?)
