Woman reported to police after coming to aid of boy left in tree

A passer-by was reported to police for trespass on a school’s grounds after she came to the aid of a five-year-old boy who had been left on his own in a tree after playtime.

Kim Barrett claimed she coaxed the boy down from the tree as she was worried about his safety, and took him back to the school building.

However, the council said the boy was being "observed" by teachers who had been instructed not to intervene in case the child became distracted and fell.

However, she said she was “surprised and angry” when she later received letters from Manor primary school, Melksham, Wilts, and the local council, reprimanding her for entering the school grounds without permission.

She was also visited by a police community support officer.

Miss Barrett, whose six-year-old daughter attends a different school, said: "I felt really angry because I thought I had saved the school and this boy from something that could have been far worse, and that instead of thanking me I was under investigation.”

...But instead of speaking to her when she was there and explaining to her what was the situation according to those teachers, they found out who she was and then sent her a letter to scoff her......?

Oh These Modern Times........

You're supposed to leave them in trees!  They'll eventually come down on their own when they get hungry enough.

Oh, wait...  That might be cats.
