Buena Borough police arrested a Gloucester County man on Friday after he allegedly broke into a pharmacy and tried to make off with a stash of pills designed to relieve an overactive bladder.
Police said Jacob Collins, 28, of Newfield, was after the painkiller Oxycontin but accidentally stole Oxybutynin when he broke into Matlack's Hometown Pharmacy on Harding Highway in Landisville.
Police responded to the report of an alarm at 1:30 a.m. and found the glass door of the pharmacy smashed. When the officer entered the store, he found Collins rummaging around and sorting through bottles.
Collins ran out of the store but was captured before he could make off in his car. Police found more than $500 worth of prescription drugs on Collins, as well as a flashlight, hammer and screwdriver, which were all used in the burglary, police said.
