A Galveston County man says he knew the minute he tasted his Tecate Light that something was wrong.
Everett Johnston says his wife peered in the beer bottle and saw a rat's head floating inside. “The first thing came to my mind was it was a rodent that had eaten rat poison,” the retired firefighter said.
Now the 59-year-old Crystal Beach resident has filed a lawsuit against the Mexican maker of Tecate and distributer Heineken, along with other defendants. He says he's suffered severe psychological damage in the two years since the rodent head bobbled to the surface of the suds.
Johnston said he vomited after drinking the beer and went to the hospital for X-rays and blood tests.
