Parking attempt that crushed cars nets $500 fine - Update

A 62-year-old Richmond Hill woman whose terrible parking job became the subject of a viral YouTube video last year was sentenced in Newmarket court on Tuesday.

Tripta Kaushal was arrested in October after surveillance footage captured her attempting to park her blue BMW SUV at a Markham gym. As she pulled into the space, the vehicle suddenly lunged forward, driving up on top of two parked cars.

Kaushal then fled the scene without reporting the collision.

Kaushal pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to report, and was given a $500 fine and ordered to pay restitution to the two victims whose vehicles she damaged. She was also given six months probation and is restricted from driving between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

That's it?  Was this a plea bargain?  So she is out $500? This was a $40k+ BMW pulling into a private gym where her membership is likely more than $500 (her insurance will cover the rest).  She did not even get out of her car to ensure that no one was hurt (could have been on the ground or inside slumped over).
If this was at the local grocery she would have got away with it but since she had a membership at the gym, the license plate was not needed.  Is the punishment enough to make any other irresponsible so and so reconsider leaving the scene of an accident?

And she only "is restricted from driving between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m"...?????????????????????????????

What did she do to that judge to get away with such a gentle "punishment"??????

You are very welcome!
I also found that Hyundai, as a publicity stunt, gave the guy that worked there a new car. (the other unnamed victim's car was a rental?)
