Husband jumps from moving vehicle after wife refuses to 'shut up'

A 23-year-old man jumped from a moving vehicle on Thursday evening after his wife refused to "shut up," according to a Montgomery County Sheriff's Office report.

The report by Deputy Blake Neblett says the man, who was travelling with his wife and three children to Clarksville on Guthrie Highway, was arguing with his wife and told her to shut up.

When she refused, the man jumped from the moving vehicle.

The man sustained serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he is in critical but stable condition.

Just missed a Darwin Award, by the sounds of it.

Great thing to teach your kids.

I dunno if thats really a Darwin award because its pretty much the same as someone pushing you to the point where youre willing to hurt yourself to get away with them. Then again if you think people who commit suicide should receive Darwin awards than I guess it would make sense.

sorry for not being politically correct but he should have slapped her, not in a hurting mean manner but in a manner of showing that he is serious that she should stfu.

He chose the lesser of two evils.

I wonder who called for help.  If he had jumped from my car I wouldn't have stopped.

There has to be more to this, such as intoxicating substances.  Either that, or his wife is extremely toxic in  and of herself.  Or he's off his rocker.  Or they both are to be so young and already have three kids.

It can't be a darwin award since he's already procreated.
