Hmmm.... I think he failed at Step 2 (Plan of Action).

A better plan would've involved a hard hat... :P

It appears he actually pounded himself into the floor halfway through...

I couldn't watch it all. Poor guy--why couldn't he have chosen a more feasible objective?

Well, achieving a more feasible objective wouldn't've furthered his (absurd but popular) claim that "you can do anything you want if you believe in yourself." Of course, neither did the infeasible one.

And what have we learned of this...?

A few suggestions:

- Try / Practice Before You Record

- Use only the Take that was succesful to make your point

- Do Not Use Plywood!!! Choose the right kind of wood for the job. Most motivating Karate-kicks through a plank of wood you see in the Tubes also are not done on plywood or stern oak because both do a lot of hurt to head, hand or foot most likely without breaking...

- Even if you use some tot to thick plywood- learn in advance that after that first succesful hit that nearly broke the plank (see and hear at 1.18), best result is gotten by now hitting the backside of that same plank....

...But I give it to him- He perseveres. I hope he has been treated well at the hospital afterwards... :-D
