Police search for cross dressing car thief

You might not expect a car thief to be wearing a pink sweater and fuzzy boots, but four police departments will say it's true.

Police Departments in Wauwatosa, Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, and Waukesha County Sheriff's Department are all looking for the cross dressing car robber.



The car thief hunts for victims on Craigslist, then arranges a meeting with the seller. After meeting with the seller, and takes off the car.

Wauwatosa Police say they've run into the thief twice, but were unable to capture the criminal. They engaged in a high speed chase with the suspect, and later pulled over the suspect on a routine traffic stop. Police describe the suspect as a 20-year-old man who likes to cross dress. The suspect usually wears a long black wig, pink sweater, and pink boots.
