A pair of geese have taken up residence in the gardens of a multi-million pound property development - and are viciously attacking anyone daring to venture near them.
The Canada geese have made their nest just inside the entrance to a public garden in the Angel Waterside development, in Graham Street, Islington - which boasts luxury apartments costing up to £950,000.
But residents fear that someone could be seriously injured - because the male goose has started attacking anyone who wanders too near their eggs.
Hannah Andrews, a resident, said: "I am concerned for the birds and for the residents. These birds have laid six eggs right next to the entrance so anyone coming in is at risk of being targeted. You can't blame the goose because he is just trying to protect the eggs but someone could get seriously hurt."
One resident, who did not want to be named, said that the first set of eggs laid by the geese had been thrown into the canal by a group of youths. He said: "They have lost one set of eggs because of some kids who did not know any better and the male is obviously very protective.
"He jumps up and flaps his wings and attacks anyone who gets too close. What if someone gets attacked and then falls into the water? It is very dangerous and something has to be done. We are concerned for the safety of the geese and are worried that someone will get hurt."
