Condom thief stuffed his pants

Metro Police are looking for a man who gave a Broad Ripple security guard a hard time while stealing several boxes of condoms from grocery store. Officers were called at around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday night to the Marsh supermarket located at 2350 Broad Ripple Avenue.

The security guard told investigators he witnessed a man shoving several boxes of condoms down his pants. The security guard says when he confronted the man at the store’s entrance, the man got physical and shoved the security guard several times. At one point, the guard fell to the ground, hit his head and injured his wrist.

The fight continued into the parking lot where the thief was able to slip off and flee south on Keystone.

The guard told police he initially followed the man to the prophylactic aisle because the man matched the description of the suspect in a previous condom theft at the Marsh. The thief is described as black male approximately 45 years old. He's about 6' tall and 240 pounds.
