A man who was left with a scarred chest and numb nipples after undergoing breast reduction surgery is suing the New York plastic surgeon in question for $5 million.
Dr Lawrence Reed allegedly did such a bad job trying to fix Michael Bettinger's gynecomastia, or male breast enlargement, that Bettinger's nipples were also misshapen and he had large, jagged scars on his chest.

Mr Bettinger believed the surgery would give him a "more masculine chest," according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court.
Instead, he was severely depressed after the November 2007 procedure, which left him with almost no feeling in his nipples, the lawsuit alleges.

Reduction or enlargement?
I have very little sympathy for the latter.
The word "enlargement" in the article is referring to gynecomastia, the medical condition which necessitated the breast reduction, not surgical/cosmetic enlargement.
