The homeowner told police she heard the sound of the window breaking and went to see what was happening. Upon seeing the man coming through the window she hid in the bathroom and called police.

Khuu was initially listed as a “John Doe” because he had no identification on him and had refused to identify himself to police, Sgt. Jeff Becker said. “This happens more often than people realize,” Becker said. “He has just refused to cooperate. … He’s just making it harder on himself.”
In cases like this one, when the suspect is unidentified, police take fingerprints from the suspect and run them through a database looking for matches to those arrested on previous charges, Becker said. “Ninety percent of the time they’ve been arrested before,” he said. “Or they just wise up.”
