A hundred thousand bees swarmed together to form the world's first live bee-board

More than 100,000 bees swarmed together to form the world's first live bee-board. The huge ad, spelling out S.O.S for 'Save Our Swarm', was created in Devon, by Banrock Station Wines in support of The Co-operative's Plan Bee campaign.

Money from the sale of every bottle of special edition wine will go to help preserve Britain's dwindling bee population.

Passers-by got a surprise as they witnessed a billboard spelt out entirely by bees. With a helping hand from Paddy Wallace at Quince Honey Farm in Devon, the bees were used to spell SOS on the billboard -standing for 'Save our Swarm'.

Paddy used a mixture of pheromones to attract more than 100,000 bees to the live advert in a bid to raise awareness of the special edition wines and the decline of British bees.
