An alleged paedophile has been caught with a picture of a man having intercourse with a gorills, a court heard. John Ridley, 32, was arrested after police raided his home and found a haul of 79,000 indecent images on his personal computer. Many of the sick images were of children while several featured photographs containing evidence of ”extreme” bestiality.
This included an ”extreme pornographic image which portrayed in an explicit and realistic way a person performing an act of intercourse with a live gorilla.” Ridley, of Kings Heath, Northampton, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday to enter no plea to 14 charges of possessing indecent images. Colin McGregor, prosecuting, told the court that the case was too serious to be dealt with at magistrates’ court and it has now been adjourned to be heard at crown court.
He said: ”The defendant was visited by police officers in Shire Place where they recovered computer equipment, where in excess of 79,000 indecent picture files were found. Because of the nature of the allegations and the level of the seriousness of the pornography involved it is not suitable for summary disposal.” The list of the charges levelled against Ridley include allegations that he possessed indecent photographs of children at all five levels of seriousness.
It is also alleged that between June 1, 2009 and April 7, 2009, he possessed extreme pornographic images relating to several breeds of animal. Between June 1, 2009 and October 30, 2009 it is claimed that he possessed an extreme pornographic image which portrayed in an explicit and realistic way a person performing oral sex with a live unknown mammal. On April 7, 2009 it is alleged he possessed an extreme pornographic image of a person performing oral sex with a live dog. On the same day he allegedly possessed an extreme pornographic image which portrayed in an explicit and realistic way a person performing an act of intercourse with a live gorilla.
