A vulture crashed into a medical helicopter and hit the pilot in the chest on Tuesday afternoon. Larry Tiffin with the Nogales International Airport confirmed the crash took place just after 4 p.m..
Tiffin said the helicopter was approximately two miles from the Nogales airport in Nogales, Ariz.
The vulture flew through the front window of the helicopter and hit the pilot in the chest.
The pilot and two other people on board reportedly did not suffer any injuries and the pilot was able to land the chopper safely. The vulture, however, did not make it.
