Male hotel worker 'tried on guest's panties and high-heels'

A Los Angeles woman is suing the Hyatt Corporation after a male hotel worker allegedly entered her room and put on her panties, skirt and high-heeled shoes. Dayanara Fernandez, 36, was staying at a Hyatt hotel in Deerfield, Illinois, and had returned to her room when she allegedly discovered the worker, Oscar Garcia-Franco, near her bed.

She claims the 32-year-old worker was wearing "one of her skirts and a pair of her high-heel shoes" and had an "unusual expression on his face". Garcia-Franco then allegedly said "me like, me like", and ran into the bathroom, while Fernandez was left to gather up the contents of her luggage.

Fernandez claims that as she was cleaning up she noticed through a crack in the bathroom door that Garcia-Franco was also wearing her panties. After exiting the bathroom Garcia-Franco allegedly shouted in her face, "don't tell, don't tell", according to the complaint filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday.

Fernandez accuses the Hyatt Corporation of invasion of privacy and assorted negligence over the June 6 incident. In July Garcia-Franco faced criminal charges of disorderly conduct over the incident and plead guilty. He was sentenced to 90 days of court supervision and ordered to pay a US$187 fine.
