Woman contacts animal psychic to trace missing dog

A desperate woman has taken the unusual step of contacting an animal psychic in an attempt to find her missing dog. Tracy Cook last saw her Alsatian puppy, Ripley, on April 16th at her workplace, PD Global, on Smallshaw Business Park, Burnley. Mrs Cook, of Essex Street, Colne, has scoured the area looking for Ripley, described as a shy, timid dog and has distributed more than 500 leaflets to find out what happened to him.

With no known sightings of Ripley since the day he went missing, Mrs Cook turned to animal psychic James French to try to uncover the truth. Mr French, an animal communicator from Surrey, told Mrs Cook he could see Ripley on a railway, near water and lots of woodland, which matches the description of the last known sighting of the dog. Mrs Cook fought back tears as she said: "Not knowing is the hardest part. If someone has taken him and he is at a good home I would be happy to shake their hand and leave him. I just need to know what happened."

Every day since the dog went missing Mrs Cook has looked for him with the help of her other dog, an Inuit Husky cross named Mischief. She added Ripley would be petrified without confident companion Mischief. Ripley and Mischief escaped through a hole in a fence, which had been caused by an attempted break-in, at Mrs Cook's workplace.

Mischief returned the same day but Ripley, now 18 months old but a puppy at the time of his disappearance, never came back. The last known sighting of the dog was by Burnley Cemetery, in Rossendale Road, at 10 a.m. on April 16th. The dog, a black coloured German Shepherd, is electronically chipped and has a name tag.
