An animal adoption centre needs help to bring a dog whose nose was frozen off back to health.
According to Becca Riker, president and founder of Secondhand Mutts in Tremont, the dog was found on a local highway during Wednesday's snowstorm and brought in for care.
The facility noted the dog's red nose and the time of year and named him Rudy, short for Rudolph.
Rudy is making slow progress since his ordeal but has a long way to go. He is severely underweight, has infections in both ears and is heart worm positive. Rudy likely has an auto-immune disease, potentially Lupus or Pemphigus.
