"What use is a wedding dress for a flood victim?" a Red Cross volunteer rhetorically asked.

Apart from the wedding dress and tiger outfit, volunteers found gala dresses smelling of moth balls, soiled thongs and smelly underwear.
"It looks like people were using the campaign to get rid of their stuff," another volunteer said. The Red Cross is involved in the relief of the estimated 2.3 million victims of the floods.

It's Colombian, not Columbian (in your title) :-)
Oops!
Thanks for pointing that out!
I recall the same thing happening with tsunami victims a while back. People sent rotting fur coats and old high-heels. The volunteer workers were super disappointed. They even said the same thing about people just getting rid of their stuff.
