Unadoptable dog in Australia returned eight times

Australia's littlest hobo has hit the road again. No sooner does homeless hound Cody find a new adoptive family, he's sent packing. At just two, Cody's had more homes than most dogs have had bones.

The clever kelpie always arrives full of hope with his tail wagging. But before he knows it, he's back in the dog house - and told he can't stay. And he's not just apparently unadoptable, he's also very unlucky, having been twice bitten by brown snakes

Cody was placed with a new family for the eighth time in his life just two weeks ago, only to again be returned to sender by his tearful new owner just a week later. The man's elderly grandmother moved in and the family was worried boisterous Cody could have been a bit too much for her.

"[Cody] doesn't bark, he doesn't bite, he can be boisterous but you can exercise that out of him," Australian Working Dog Rescue Victorian co-ordinator Annie Fenby said. "He's terrific with kids and other dogs." Cody will hit the road again tomorrow for Wodonga, where he is lined up with a new family.

poor dog. With the publicity he'll hopefully find a dedicated owner very soon if this next family doesn't work out.

The dog rescue folks need to screen the families better.
