A Tulsa woman's headless body was found inside her home and police believe she may have died in late December or early January.
Tulsa Police made the discovery on Monday morning in the 5300 block of East 21st Street while checking on the well-being of the 55-year-old woman who had not been seen since Christmas Day.

Police say there were several dogs still inside the home and Tulsa Animal Control was called in to remove them. Officers found evidence the dogs had eaten parts of the body. The woman's head was found in another part of the home.
It's not clear who called police and asked them to check on the woman. Police believe the woman died of natural causes many weeks ago. Her body has been taken to the state Medical Examiner's Office.
