A gunman forced a teenage girl to strip naked during a ”terrifying” robbery so he could steal her underwear. The 18-year-old girl was attacked by a cyclist as she walked her dog along a quiet path near St Mary’s Church, in Comberton, Cambs., at 5.30pm on Monday. He threatened to shoot her unless she stripped off all her clothes and handed him her knickers.
Detectives said the gunman fled with the garment on his bike while the girl was left naked and ”distressed” on the secluded path. The teen, who has not been named, has described the ordeal as ”terrifying”. She said: ”I was walking my dog up to the church along the path when he came up behind me and threatened me.
”He told me to start taking my clothes off or he would shoot me. He kept reaching for a weapon in his pocket. I don’t know what it was but I didn’t see a gun. I had to take some of my clothes off and then he told me to take my knickers off because he wanted to take them with him. The whole thing lasted for about 25 minutes. I called my mum and she came and got me.
”It was broad daylight and there was no one about, for the first time ever. It was terrifying. He had a spotty face that looked sore and blond spiky hair and was wearing a tracksuit. I didn’t know him.” The gunman is described as white, 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in, between 17 and 20 years old, clean shaven and was riding a silver mountain bike.

I'm not sure why they put the word ”terrifying” and ”distressed” in parenthesis. I'm almost seems that the author doubts that it was or that she was, which may not be the case at all.
I'm sure it was terrifying for the girl.
I wonder if he actually had a gun at all.
What about the dog? He/she did nothing?
